The Resurrection made simple

If my understanding of the resurrection narrative is incorrect please let me know.
But as far as I know it isn't so let me just say...what the hell?! Are they serious?!
In all honesty it does count towards the story's accuracy that the disciples apparently were very zealous when they began spreading their new message (But then again Joseph Smith was obviously lying and he was certainly zealous). And Christianity first took a strong hold in the Jerusalem area (I think), so the people living there would be in the best position to refute the resurrection if it didn't happen.
Still, I don't think that's nearly enough to believe in it. Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. And as I've illustrated in the cartoon, the whole story does seem a little too convenient for the disciples, who don't have any evidence for what happened. Jesus seems to have felt it was best to let other people spread his message ("Screw the New World natives! They can wait 1500 years to be saved and not go to Hell anymore!"), and also doesn't want to present too much evidence for his miracles to the rest of us. Why are gods always so shy, and yet so insecure as to be angry when people don't believe in them?
